Over 600 professionals attend Big Inter-Council Networking night in Dubai

A collaborative effort by 20 business councils to bring together over 600 professionals for forging successful partnerships

The quarterly ‘Big Inter-Council Networking Night’ event was held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Address Dubai Marina and was a complete sell-out offering unparalleled networking opportunities. This event, organized by various business councils under Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s umbrella, united over 600 professionals and 20 business councils, reinforcing cooperation among councils and advancing their shared objectives.

According to Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, such events are vital for Dubai’s business community, facilitating dialogue between the public and private sectors. Lootah added: “We remain committed to supporting Business Groups and Councils as part of our efforts to meet the evolving needs of the business community. This cooperation serves our common interests, and we appreciate the valuable contribution of Business Groups and Councils to Dubai’s dynamic business ecosystem.”

What some of the Councils Heads had to say:

“We like mingling with other business communities very much. It helps us to get an intimate understanding of the dynamics and trends in other councils – and to bond new partnerships!” —Oliver Oehms, CEO of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK)

“The quarterly Interbusiness Council gathering offers a unique opportunity for members of diverse nationalities to connect in person. It’s a forum for exchanging ideas, fostering relationships, promoting businesses, generating leads, and building connections.

The Malaysian Business Council UAE has consistently played a pivotal role in this initiative, actively promoting networking and collaboration with various business councils, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, government entities, and private enterprises. So for those who value networking, we invite you to join all of us at this great event. We have many more.coming up in the near future.” Fahmy Ansara Dahalan, Chairman of the Malaysian Business Council in the UAE

“The intercouncil event was a tapestry of ideas, ambitions, and cultures. Members of the South African Business Council left not just with fond memories, but with tangible business connections that promise to be the bridges to our collective futures.” —Lyritia Van Der Linde, General Director, South African Business Council, Dubai & Northern Emirates

“Dubai has always been the crossroads of innovation and ambition, and last week’s inter-council business event was a shining example of that. Witnessing over 500 representatives converge with a shared vision for progress, I am reminded of the endless possibilities that arise when we collaborate. The Belgian business council is both humbled and inspired by the experience.” —Arnaud de Harenne, Chairman, Belgian Business Council

“Networking is the lifeblood of progress and growth in the business community. As we come together at inter-council events, we build bridges of opportunity, forge alliances, and unlock the full potential of our collective strength. We will continue to host these events so that we have opportunities to connect, collaborate, and catalyze success for our businesses.” —Sammy Bousaba, President AmCham Dubai
