In a world that moves at a relentless pace, wellness is no longer a luxury—it is a necessity. Recognizing this, Shunyam Wellness was founded with a singular mission: to make wellness accessible to the masses. More than just an organization, this is a movement.
The Vision: Wellness for all
‘Shunyam’, inspired by the Sanskrit word for ‘zero’ or ‘emptiness,’ signifies a state of pureness – a return to balance and harmony. Founded by Neeta Singhvi Maloo, the initiative is built on the philosophy that wellness should be inclusive, holistic, and most importantly, contagious.
Driven by a vision of inclusivity, Shunyam Wellness organizes wellness programs that unite individuals of all ages and backgrounds to experience the transformative power of yoga and holistic therapies.
What sets Shunyam Wellness apart is its commitment to accessibility for all – offering open, community-focused sessions in parks, beaches, and public spaces without any attached premium price tag.
Key Collaborations and Milestones
Shunyam’s standout achievements has been its growing collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, Asian Yogasana Sports Federation, UAE Sports 4 All Federation, and UAE Yoga Committee, a partnership that underscores the initiative’s credibility and impact further cementing its role as a key player in the region’s wellness ecosystem. Recent highlights from past events include:
- Wellness gatherings on March 16 and April 13 at Barasti, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi.
- Kids Yoga Day on May 10, dedicated to introducing young minds to mindfulness and movement.
- 108 Sun Salutations on May 11, honoring yogis, their discipline, and inner resilience.
Voices of Support
“It was a great experience for me to be part of the Shunyam Wellness Retreat. We witnessed the genuine passion of the attendees for yoga and the variety of enriching activities throughout the day. As the UAE Yogasana Committee, we proudly support all events held in collaboration with the committee—especially those that contribute to building a healthy, balanced, and cohesive society and promote wellness across all age groups,” said HE Ahmed Ibrahim Musabih.
Mr. Musabih serves as a Board Member and President of the UAE Yoga Committee and holds the position of Vice President of the Asian Yogasana Sports Federation. In these roles, he plays a pivotal part in promoting yogasana as a competitive sport and cultural practice across the UAE and Asia. His leadership contributes to organizing national and regional yoga events, fostering community engagement, and aligning with international yoga standards.
He also announced the upcoming Asian Yogasana Championship to be held in Fujairah this August, open to all age groups. Registration is available via the @sportforalluae Instagram page. In addition, a coaching workshop and referee/trainer certification course were successfully conducted in mid-May.
