It’s all about intentions. Make sure to set right intentions before you set out to do anything

Before you set goals, make sure your intentions are firmly in place to set the foundations for what you want to manifest

Some people just exist… they are born, so they walk through life, going about their daily chores, fulfilling their duties and responsibilities towards their family and work, and eventually pass on.

Some, on the other hand, live with an intention in place. And that makes all the difference between a meaningless existence and one that has significance attached to it. A life lived with intent is contributing to not only to self… but also to others.

So, what really is an intention and how does one live with intent.

An intention is something you mean to do, whether you pull it off or not. Intention setting is a powerful practice that involves consciously and deliberately choosing what you want to manifest or create in your life. It involves focussing your mind on a specific goal or outcome and taking actions that align with that intention.

We do take actions everyday as part of the business of life. Adding the element of ‘intent’ helps one stay mindful and present in the moment and takes it a step further from a routine action to a deliberate sense of direction and purpose. Intention can be applied to different areas of life, such as personal growth, career, relationships, health, and spirituality.

Intention setting can help you:

Clarify your goals and desires: When you set an intention, you become clear about what you want to achieve. This clarity helps you focus your attention and energy on your desired outcome.

Increase your motivation and commitment: When you have a clear intention, you are more motivated and committed to taking action towards your goal.

Improve your mindset and attitude: Setting positive intentions can help shift your mindset and attitude towards a more positive and optimistic outlook.

Enhance your creativity and problem-solving skills: When you set an intention, you activate your subconscious mind, which can help you come up with creative solutions to problems.

Reduce stress and anxiety: Setting intentions can help you feel more in control of your life and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.

Having said that, it is also important to bear in mind that what you ‘truly mean’ when you do something will always determine the outcome. For example, when you help someone or give in charity not with the main intent of helping someone, but with the intent of being known as a good and generous human… the meaning and energy of the action changes. The ‘meaning’ behind the action is vitally important.

Intention is one of the most powerful forces there is. When you set an intention, you also activate the law of attraction, which states that like attracts like. So be mindful of what you set out to do. This includes being honest in business dealings, being kind to others, and fulfilling responsibilities towards family and society. Because the energy you put out into the world through your thoughts, feelings, and actions will attract similar energy back to you. When your intentions are pure, so too will be your success.

If you determine that you set the wrong intention, you can take steps to adjust it. This might involve setting a new intention that better aligns with your goals, or modifying your existing intention to make it more aligned with your values. It’s also important to be kind to yourself and remember that it’s natural to make mistakes. Don’t beat yourself up over it, but instead use the experience as a learning opportunity to grow and improve.

Be proactive with your own life and live life with purposeful Intent. I promise you will pass on in a much happier and content state!
