We will remember the beloved monarch of England, the late Queen Elizabeth II

A tribute to the late queen of England, the much-loved Elizabeth II. Words will not be enough…

A deafening silence that fills the streets of the UK and the Commonwealth echoes around the world, and they are all for one woman: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen left behind a royal legacy as she passed away on Thursday, 8th September, at Scotland’s Balmoral Castle. She was 96 years old.

Upon the death of her father in 1952, Elizabeth became Queen Elizabeth II. She was crowned a year later in Westminster Abbey and broadcast a speech to the Commonwealth. Ready to take on as the new monarch was a woman determined, and a woman capable of delivering.

Even as a young 25-year-old, Her Majesty was known for taking a serious interest in government and political affairs, apart from her ceremonial duties. Well, we certainly cannot agree more on this one! With her awe-inspiring compassion, dignity a tireless commitment to serving her country, the Queen has stunned us all with a record-setting monarchy.

The most notable of her achievements is undoubtedly her service in World War II in 1939. She was only 13 years old then. As the war dragged, Princess Elizabeth and Margaret were evacuated from Windsor Castle. However, Elizabeth felt a keen sense of duty even as a child and insisted on enlisting. Despite many pushbacks from the Royal family, Elizabeth was allowed to join the military effort when she was 18.

On her 21st birthday, she delivered a message in South Africa, where she dedicated her life to serving the British Empire. In her message, she said: “I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service.”

The young princess’ dedication and willingness to serve her country made her a hero even as a young girl. During a Speech on her Coronation Day, 2nd June 1953, Queen Elizabeth pledged to serve her country with all her heart.

“The ceremonies you have seen today are ancient, and some of their origins are veiled in the mists of the past. But their spirit and meaning shine through the ages, perhaps, more brightly than ever. I have in sincerity pledged myself to your service, as so many of you are pledged to mine. Throughout all my life and with all my heart, I shall strive to be worthy of your trust.”

Indeed, this was a woman born to lead the way.

Her Majesty’s health slowly deteriorated over time. However, regardless of her health issues, Queen Elizabeth continued to serve her country tirelessly and did not shy away from her responsibilities.

Well, it is an irrevocable fact that her commitment, humanity, love, and wisdom are to be remembered.

And we will all remember!

The most well-traveled Queen in British history- we will remember.

The stability Her Majesty brought in – we will remember.

The first female British royal to serve as an active duty military member – we will remember.

Thanks to 70 long years, a Queen of love, wisdom, and humanity- we will remember.

The world will for sure continue to miss and remember Britain’s longest-reigning sovereignty!
