Experience endless flora and fauna at Dubai first indoor rainforest The Green Planet

Do it: The Green Planet

Looking for ways to enjoy the summer without getting tanned in the scorching August sun? Check out ‘Green Planet’, an underrated gem in the midst of City Walk.

Dubai’s first and only indoor rainforest boasts more than 3000 species of flora and fauna and is a sanctuary for exotic plants, animals, birds, and reptiles. With something for every age range, this green oasis is the perfect spot to take a break from the hot and humid weather outside and even has fun events like swimming with piranhas, brunches and night camps, and playing zookeeper for a day.

The magnificent bio-dome consists of four levels: the Canopy, the Midstory, the Forest floor, and the Flooded Rainforest, each of which showcases the importance of the levels in a rainforest. You can be sure to catch a few animals running wild, and if you are lucky, you may even be able to see the birds flying around or the zookeepers feeding one of the many animals! A true visual splendor, the Green Planet will definitely be an immersive expedition into the tropics.

This summer, the Green Planet also offers an exclusive experience to their guests: an exotic rainforest camp! You can learn about the rainforest’s most enigmatic small creatures on a nocturnal wildlife tour and unwind in the evening at The Green Planet’s Café with a nature-themed movie and marshmallow roasting fun. This is the ideal activity for young explorers and nature-loving adults alike. An exclusive chance to interact with animals is included with the overnight stay. Get a chance to interact with the furry fan favorites of the rainforest. You’ll undoubtedly be amazed whether you get to meet with the cheeky primates, see red-bellied piranhas up close, or encounter the lone Tamandua Anteater in the area.

The Camping in the Rainforest experience can be bought for 700 AED, and there are many other ticket options as well. Individual tickets for adults and children, as well as tickets for groups of over 15 people starts at AED 110. Opening Hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, and with a spend of AED 100, you can also avail yourself four hours of free parking. With a range of experiences suited for everyone, this is a must-visit place to beat the summer blues.
